For some reasons, I have been studying immunology in the last  weeks. This branch of microbiology fascinates me, perhaps because it is quite complex, and really challenging to understand all the material.  I know, you all have heard the phrase, "All the Roads Lead to Rome", Immunology is not an exception, a well organized system  is needed to work in harmony with the whole human body and mind. 
Platon, from ancient times, used to say that our bodies work exactly as a city does, governed by three systems. To have balance in our bodies we need to have perfectly working endocrine, neurological  and immune systems. In the same way to have a prosperous city, we need to have three systems harmoniously working: Executive, Legislative and Judicial systems must be cooperating to have success  in a city or country.The harmony  of  the three systems  working together brings as a result the equilibrium of  a person, a city or a country.

Back to immunology, our immune system is not less important than the neurological or endocrine structures. If our immune system has a low response, our bodies are constantly  suffering from inflammation.  Scientifically speaking,the immune system is what defines our identity. Por algunas razones, he estado estudiando inmunología en las semanas recientes. Esta rama de la microbiología me apasiona, tal vez porque es bastante compleja y es un verdadero reto entenderle a todo el material... :)   Ya se que han escuchado muchas veces el proverbio: "Todos los caminos conducen a Roma", pero permítanme decirles que la inmunología no es la excepción. Estoy una vez más asombrada de que, aplicado a cualquier ejemplo, se necesitan sistemas bien organizados para poder trabajar en armonía. Platón, desde tiempos remotos decía que nuestro cuerpo funcionaba del mismo modo que una ciudad, regido por sitemas. Él no especificaba, pero tenía toda la razón ya que nuestro cuerpo está regulado por tres sitemas: el sistema neurológico,  el sistema endocrinólogico y el sistema inmune. El trabajo armonioso de estos sistemas trae como resultado la perfecta armonía física y mental de un individuo. Pasa lo mismo en una ciudad o país, existen tres tipos de poderes o sistemas: Ejecutivo, Legislativo y Judicial. Los tres  deberán trabajar en armonía para tener una ciudad o país exitoso.

Como podemos ver, una cosa se conecta con otra y todo nos conduce a la misma conclusión. Para poder alcanzar el éxito en cualquier ámbito, se necesita una perfecta cooperación de varios sistemas trabajando juntos y armoniosamente. Científica y humanamente hablando, el sistema inmunológico es el que define a nuestra identidad. Es decir, si tu sistema inmune no trabaja adecuadamente, padecerás de inflamación constante. Cuando las venas se inflaman, la sangre no irriga adecuadamente al cerebro y por lo tanto, no puedes pensar positivamente y se te puede catalogar como una persona bipolar, impulsiva o hasta neurótica.
